Kick off SFMade Week by joining us at Bluxome Street Winery to celebrate all things made expertly, locally. Enjoy demonstrations, samples and conversations with some of your favorite producers, alongside WesBurger fare, Bluxome wines and Magnolia brews (benefiting SFMade). Admission is free — come make and partake!
Foreignspell will be teaching Palatable Printmaking : Stamping projects using found items from the kitchen! I am so excited for this. I've been super inspired by all things food forever - it will be awesome to combine 2 of my favorite things!

Printmaking 101 at Urban Bazaar

Very excited that the printmaking class at Urban Bazaar is only one week away! Here's the pertinent information ::

What : Printmaking for all levels

Where : Urban Bazaar
Why : To teach the age old art of printmaking because everyone should know this technique - it's awesome!
With Mother's Day & graduation season around the corner, we're all looking for that perfect gift - why not design & print one yourself?!
Niki Baker of Foreignspell will work with you to transfer and carve an image of your choosing onto a 4x6 inch sheet of rubber (that you keep forever to use again and again). She will teach a myriad of design, carving, inking and printing techniques! Each student will create 5 4x6 half-folded cards (with envelopes) printed with a Block Printers Press Model B. Niki will also provide found and upcycled items to add to your new printmaking arsenal at home!
The $35 registration fee covers everything : inks, brayer, ink bench, rubber, carving tools, tracing paper, thick recycled paper, bone folder, press + more. Images to trace will be provided, but if you are super in love with art of some sort that you'd like to reproduce bring it along and we can make it happen! All experience levels welcome and encouraged. Just come with your enthusiasm!

It's no surprise that the Mission district in San Francisco houses an array of makers! If you'd like to get your holiday shopping started (and possibly finished) stop by Ruth's Table on November 17th from 11am - 4pm to support local artists!
